About the opportunity:

We are looking for a Senior Account Manager to create long-term, trusting relationships with our customers. The Senior Account Manager’s role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities. In this role, you will liaise with cross-functional internal teams to improve the entire customer experience.

If you are familiar with account management software (CRM), have a flair for client communication and understand consumer behavior, we’d like to meet you. Ideally, candidates for this role will know how to meet ambitious individual and team-wide sales quotas. This position Chicago based.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters, building and maintaining strong, long-lasting client relationships;
Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas and grow opportunities within territory;
Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits;
Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors;
Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders and prepare reports on account status;
Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).

Required Qualifications:

Strong communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders, as well as to prepare reports on account status;
Proven track record of building and maintaining strong, long-lasting client relationships, as well as developing trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, stakeholders, and executive sponsors;
Proficiency in negotiating contracts and closing agreements to maximize profits. Capable of identifying areas of improvement to meet sales quotas and grow opportunities within the assigned territory;
Customer-centric mindset, prioritizing customer satisfaction and understanding customer needs to effectively serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters.
