A Designer Account Manager is a sales professional who specializes in selling design services, such as graphic design, web design, or interior design, to clients. They are responsible for identifying potential clients, understanding their design needs, and presenting them with tailored solutions. Designer Account Executives work closely with designers and clients to ensure that projects are completed successfully and meet client expectations.
Essential functions of the position:
Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining relationships with clients. Understanding their design needs and requirements.
Sales: Generating sales leads and converting them into design projects. Meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas.
Project Management: Overseeing design projects from start to finish. Coordinating with designers and clients to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Design Consultation: Providing design consultation to clients. Helping them understand the design process and options available to them.
Proposal Development: Creating proposals and presentations for clients. Customizing design solutions to meet client needs.
Negotiation: Negotiating contracts and terms with clients. Ensuring that agreements are mutually beneficial and in line with company objectives.
Collaboration: Working closely with designers and other team members to ensure that design projects are executed successfully.
Market Research: Conducting market research to identify potential clients and new business opportunities. Staying informed about industry trends and competitors.
Reporting: Tracking sales activities and reporting on sales performance. Providing regular updates to management.
Professional Development: Staying informed about design trends and best practices. Continuously improving sales skills and knowledge.

Required Education and Experience:
Minimum three years' successful business-to-business sales experience, preferably in Designing furniture or a related industry.
Bachelor's Degree in business or design
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; familiarity with client relationship management software.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills,
Prefer a solid understanding of design principles and processes.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Must be able to operate computer for most of workday with appropriate rest periods.
