What Would You Do?  

The right candidate will be responsible for the service of DFS accounts and collections of all assigned delinquent accounts of 5-10 days past due. S/he will actively listen, and problem solve with the account holder to bring accounts up to good standing. S/he is responsible for nurturing and cultivating a positive culture and work environment that aligns with the mission and values of the organization.

What will you be responsible for?

• Immediately contact any assigned account and make prompt payment arrangements. (Generally, 5-10 days past due). 

• Respond to all voicemails and emails. 

• Process all received payments.  

• Responsible for following up on all promises to pay that are missed. 

• Actively bring the department manager any problem accounts.  

• Quickly & actively pursue all same-day payment arrangements. 

• Maintain all customer accounts: continually update address, phone number, employment, record and update all payments, document agreements in detail.

• Check GPS on all accounts. 

• Arrange an accountability plan and hold the customer to plan for all arrangements. 

• Provide clients with accurate information regarding their accounts at any time they request. 

• Assist with other duties as assigned. 

Education

• High school degree or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree in business, finance preferred.

Experience

• Previous 3 + years of collections experience preferred. 

• FDCPA knowledge including mail & text required.

• Previous 3 + years of collections experience preferred. 

• Advanced problem resolution, communication, negotiation and presentation skills.

• Proficient in Google & Microsoft Suite products.
