Job Description - Account Manager - Rotating Equipment and Pumps

Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Identifies and evaluates customer needs and offers appropriate solutions.

  • Works under the direction of the Sales Manager to develop the account plan.

  • Promotes Rotating Equipment products and services to customers including, but not limited to; positive displacement pumps, blowers, compressors and their accessories, centrifugal pumps and pump packages and accessories and related process equipment such as vacuum pumps, static vacuum equipment, mixers and heat exchangers.

  • Interfaces with RQ management, inside sales and other company sales and account teams to communicate activities, opportunities, issues, and status of goals, all designed to deliver the total Company value.

  • Develops and maintains customer relationships.

  • Attends technical conferences and product and technical training sessions.

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with Engineering, Purchasing, Maintenance departments, other key decision makers and Principals.

  • Conducts product demonstrations and technical presentations.

  • Provides technical assistance to other Sales and Operations personnel.

  • Presents and specifies products for varied applications. Determines application and specification of products.

  • Helps develop sales forecast and strategy to accomplish goal.

  • Expedites for customer - customer rep within the Company.

  • Provides input and feedback relative to pricing and sales margins.



    QUALIFICATIONS:


    Education/Knowledge:



    • BS/BA Degree in Business or Engineering related disciplines. Alternative AS/AA degree and two plus years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Technical degrees are preferred.

    • Basic knowledge of the oil & gas industry - up, mid and downstream. Solid knowledge of basic hydraulic principles and pumping systems and related equipment.


    Experience/Skills:



    • 3-5 Years technical sales/customer service experience required including experience of prospecting, cold calling and presentations to customers.

    • Good Computer skill proficiency with MS Office and Outlook.

    • Strong written and oral communication skills including formal presentation skills.

    • Solid interpersonal skills; specifically engaged listening and acknowledging skills, as well as questioning and discovery skills.

    • Demonstrated ability to interface with and influence senior level executives.

    • Strong prospecting/opportunity identification skills. Innovative in selling and servicing approach.

    • Strong drive and initiative – motivated to success. Displays win/win negotiating skills.

    • Ability to manage customer expectations relative to deliverables and timeframes. Strong Customer Service Skills, including the ability to develop rapport and trust with customers.

    • Strong strategic thinker with solid technical aptitude.

    • Team Player with good conflict management and consensus building skills.

    • Demonstrated proficiency in coordination of multiple sales departments and support staff to provide customer solutions effectively and optimize Company success.

    • Problem solver- Uses good judgment and approaches opportunities strategically.

    • Strong Business Acumen. Recognizes complimentary solutions.

    • Exhibits strong self-management skills including a high degree of professionalism and dependability.
