Job Description - Account Manager, Trading & Surveillance

Sales Executive

As a Sales Executive reporting to the Director of Sales, you'll play a critical role in managing and growing a portfolio of accounts focused on Trading & Surveillance in the US & Canada. After a structured ramp-up period, you'll become the primary account manager for a set of small and emerging clients, ensuring satisfaction and driving growth through targeted upsell opportunities.

You'll thrive in this position if you're collaborative, client-focused, and eager to learn. You bring a passion for capital markets and a strong foundation in US equities, options, fintech, or software sales. This is a hands-on role with direct mentoring and oversight, ideal for someone looking to grow their career in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts in the Trading & Surveillance segment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring satisfaction and retention through proactive communication and relationship management
  • Identify and execute simple upsell opportunities to expand account value.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align on client objectives and deliverables.
  • Participate in training and mentoring sessions to accelerate ramp-up and performance.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in capital markets, preferably in US equities, options, fintech, or software sales.
  • Proven success in client-facing roles with strong relationship management skills.
  • Clear communicator with experience in collaborative, matrixed environments.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in capital markets, fintech, or regulated industry.
  • Exposure to global teams and cross-border collaboration.
  • Proficient in CRM tools such as Salesforce.

This position will be located in New York and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment with at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.

The base pay range for this role is $45,000 - $93,100. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
