Job Title: Account Support (inside sales)

Department: Sales & Procurement

Reports to: Sales & Procurement Manager

FLSA Status: Full time/Regular/Non-Exempt/Hourly

Compensation Forecast: $41,600.00 + Bonus Incentives based on performance (non-exempt hourly)

ATS was originally intended to serve the infrastructure products needs for Verizon in Northern California. With multiple facilities strategically located throughout the US ATS now serves all wireless carriers without wavering from its original mission of Providing Old Fashioned Service In A High Tech World.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position will be expected to participate in the sales process as support to internal Sales Account Managers as well as customers directly. This position is expected to perform work while exercising initiative and judgement. This is a highly responsible clerical sales position. To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility, doing so with a motivated and enthusiastic fashion. The requirements listed below are a representation of knowledge, skills, and ability required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Obtains orders through email and telephone calls, verifies and enters items into Salesforce, transfers orders to fulfillment, explains stock-outs and expected delivery dates.
  • Add value to customers by suggesting related items, explaining features, and checking customer’s buying history.
  • Owns, qualifies and develops opportunities passed from outside sales, marketing, and national accounts.
  • Identifies suggest/report process improvements
  • Prepares, generates, and follows up on verbal or written quotations to secure orders, or determine reason for loss of order.
  • Reviews open customer order reports and takes action on open items, including those items that may be at risk in meeting customer’s promised delivery date.
  • Maintains distribution system backorder report, associated customer expediting report and notices, and customer notification.
  • Research industry trends, competitive pricing and customer feedback to management.
  • Create & submit purchase orders for inventory based on customer forecast’s and requests. Could manage from $500K-$1M in inventory annually.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no direct reports.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • Highly organized
  • Ability to prioritize efficiently
  • Excellent Microsoft Office product knowledge (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to take direction and assist multiple departments effectively
  • High School or GED Equivalent Required
  • 3 years Inside Sales experience 

EXPECTATIONS

  • Respond to customer emails and phone calls within 1 hour of sent time.
  • Respond to internal emails and phone calls within 4 hours of sent time.

PREFERRED/DESIRED SKILLS

  • Cursory knowledge of competitors in market and nationally
  • Cursory knowledge of geographical market (customers/vendors/competition)
  • Detailed knowledge of telecom equipment/wireless products sold
  • Industry or industry-adjacent marketplace
  • Experience with Google Apps for Business
  • Experience with Fishbowl Inventory Management Software
  • Experience with Salesforce Cloud
