The accountant is a dedicated, versatile, technically skilled business professional who is a member of the finance team and a support to executive, operational, and revenue cycle teams. Must be extremely trustworthy and respect the boundaries of confidentiality. This position impacts data analytics and process improvement across the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Complete month-end close process including:
Prepare month-end reconciliations and closing journal entries
Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for the Board and Management
2. Data analytics, including monthly and quarterly reporting and ad hoc analytic needs.
Physician Quarterly Reporting
Ad Hoc Reporting and Analysis
3. Compile and restructure data to submit survey reporting requirements to various entities for the purpose of benchmarking. Participates in analyzing results for improvement opportunities.
4. Assist with annual financial statement review and tax return preparation and support
5. Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budget
6. Assist in review and development of internal controls regarding receipts and disbursements
7. Retirement Plan accounting management, including:
Maintain knowledge of legal and regulatory changes, trends and other developments affecting retirement benefits
Assist employees with enrollment and distributions and field questions regarding same
Process distribution and loan requests
Oversee annual plan audits for 401k and Defined Benefit plans
Serve on investment committee
Determine and process employer contributions
Review annual actuarial reports and 5500
8. Back-up to accounts payable as needed
9. Back-up to payroll as needed
10. Assist with general accounting duties when needed.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Must possess strong computer skills with proficiency in Excel
Must have the process Improvement understanding
Must possess excellent organizational skills.
Must have experience administering 401(k) and Defined Benefit plans.
Must have excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Must possess the ability to work in a team setting as well as independently.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Graduate of an accredited institution with program focus in areas of Accounting or Finance.
3-5 years related office or public accounting experience.
Must attend educational seminars, programs or classes as requested by administration.
