Accountant

Responsible for accounting processes and functions.  Performs accounting duties related to the preparation of financial statements, review of fiscal records, and monitoring of financial transactions in accordance with prescribed accounting systems and generally accepted principles of accounting.

·         Process and/or review monthly subledger entries, including fleet management, inventory, miscellaneous receivables, and fuel transactions  

·         Reconcile general ledger accounts and other financial records.  Investigate and correct discrepancies.

·         Perform monthly close process, ensuring that transactions are accurately posted to the general ledger.  

·         Oversee accounts payable and review payroll entries to ensure accuracy and consistency.

·         Prepare various monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports.

·         Provide assistance with audits, including gathering documentation and addressing audit questions.

·         Provide assistance with financial projects, including annual inventory count, budget, fixed asset analysis, and annual reports.

·         Provide additional financial information that may be needed to assist management staff in making sound business decisions.

·         Assist Finance staff with general accounting tasks

·         An Associates Degree with an emphasis in Accounting or two (2) years general accounting experience

·         Ability to use independent and discretionary judgment; manage confidential information.

·         Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

·         Demonstrated success performing highly detail-oriented tasks.

·         Ability to use math and analytical skills to make decisions.

·         Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Windows. 

·         Ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of the organization and outside vendors, customers, etc.

This position is a non-exempt non-union role, offering a salary range of $69,959 to $101,383. Starting salary is dependent on experience.
