Accountant

Our client, a B2B/B2C EU-oriented company that offers personal, business, and merchant account opening; payment processing; money exchange; internal, SEPA, and SWIFT transfers; and other banking operations completely online, is looking for an accountant to join their team.

Responsibilities

Payroll:

• Maintain and update employee records in the payroll system;
• Process monthly payroll calculations in compliance with Lithuanian labor and tax legislation;
• Generate and distribute income statements and electronic payslips;
• Provide timely support to employees on payroll and compensation-related queries;
• Monitor deadlines and ensure accurate payment of payroll taxes and social contributions;
• Prepare and submit statutory reports to Sodra and VMI.

Accounting:

• Manage the flow and proper filing of incoming accounting documents;
• Purchase invoices into accounting system on a daily basis;
• Bank statements booking/import into accounting system;
• Support the reconciliation of client account balances between the Genome platform and the accounting system;
• Assist in collecting reports from acquiring partners, performing reconciliations, and importing data into the accounting system;
• Prepare and submit VAT report to VMI.

• overall experience in accounting (2y+);
• experience in FinTech industry is a plus;
• knowledge of Lithuanian payroll and tax regulations;
• experience with payroll systems and accounting software (e.g. Navision or equivalent) is a plus;
• proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must;
• attention to detail and a high level of accuracy;
• strong communication skills and ability to work in a team;
• proficiency in Lithuanian and English (advantage).
