We are looking for an Accountant to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets.
Accountant responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, implementation of new processes and software, reconciliation of accounts, budgeting. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes and the ability to correct and establish processes.
Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on the financial position, liquidity and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we’re compliant with all tax regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting transactions posting to General Ledger
- Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable and bank Statements
- Reconcile 2023 GL transactions in new Software to verify beginning balances from prior.
- Make Journal Entries as needed
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
- Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
- Audit financial transactions and documents
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality.
- Comply with financial policies and regulations
- Prepare budget forecasts
- Files Quarterly Sales Tax reports
- Verify ADP payroll GL entries
- Prepare financial statements for Year end accountant tax filing
- Implement with IT - Construction project management process in new ERP software solution.
- Track Annual Bonus payout
Requirements and skills
- 3+ year of work experience as an Accountant.
- Strong Experience with general ledger functions.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks – Accumatica a plus.
- Experience in ERP implementation.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
- Ability to Lead and calm demeanor.
- Implement efficiencies and new processes.
- Strong Communication skills.
- BS in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree.
- Construction Accounting.
- Project Management Software Experience a plus.
- Experience in commission payments and report tracking.
