Job Position: Accountant

Our client is a leading provider of Industrial Supply services, specializing in Pipes, Valves, Fittings, Pumps, and Sanitary items. They are currently looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to play a crucial role in managing their financial operations. The successful candidate will take over a key position within the organization, ensuring the continued smooth operation of their financial processes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounts payable, including vouchering and processing purchase orders.
• Receive and match invoices to customer orders and ensure timely bill payments.
• Oversee payroll functions and state tax reporting.
• Submit monthly payments to various states in which the company operates.
• Monitor and pay utilities and other operational expenses.
• Respond to collections inquiries and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Work closely with the sales team to ensure timely receipt submission and compliance.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records.
• Utilize Epicor and Profit 21 software for accounting functions.

Qualifications:

• Background in accounting with experience in A/P, payroll, and tax.
• Knowledge of state tax reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with Epicor and Profit 21 software preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
