Accountant

• Maintain accurate books of accounts in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
  


• Record and reconcile all financial transactions including sales, purchases, expenses, and bank transactions.
  


• Perform bank, creditor, and debtor reconciliations.
  


• Prepare statutory returns including VAT, PAYE, SDL, WHT, and other applicable taxes.
  


• Ensure compliance with TRA regulations and filing deadlines.
  


• Assist in preparation of documents required for audits and tax assessments.
  


• Monitor stock accounting and reconcile physical inventory with accounting records.
  


• Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams for stock movement entries.
  


• Assist in cost tracking for imports and landed cost allocation.
  


• Manage supplier payments and customer invoicing.
  


• Follow up on receivables and maintain aging reports.
  


• Verify supporting documents for payments and expenses.
  


• Maintain accounting records in Tally or other accounting software.
  


• Ensure proper data entry and system accuracy.
  


• Support improvements in accounting processes and internal controls.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  


• Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
  


• Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  


• Prior experience using Tally accounting software is highly preferred.
  


• Strong understanding of Tanzanian tax and statutory requirements.
  


• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  


• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
