Accountant

Basic Job Functions:

Nucor is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Accountant. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: (1) Assisting with the month end close procedures (2) Preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations (3) Preparing, reviewing and submitting financial reporting to divisions and Corporate (4) Maintaining and continuously improving the internal control structure. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business or related field, or equivalent work experience.


• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams

Preferred Qualifications:

•    1-2 years’ experience in an accounting-related role
•    Experience with full-cycle Accounts Payable function
•    Experience working with Oracle
