Project Accountant (Contract)

Position Overview

Our client in the healthcare industry is seeking an experienced Accountant for a short-term project. This individual will be responsible for bringing multiple company accounts up to date by completing account reconciliations and ensuring financial records are accurate through year-end 2025 for tax preparation purposes.

The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, experienced with QuickBooks, and comfortable working independently across multiple entities with relatively low transaction volumes.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete catch-up bank and account reconciliations through 2025 for approximately 10 related companies.


• Review and reconcile financial activity to ensure accuracy and completeness for tax reporting purposes.


• Identify and resolve discrepancies within accounting records.


• Roll reconciliations and financial records forward into 2026 and bring accounts current.


• Maintain organized documentation supporting all reconciliation activities.


• Collaborate with company leadership as needed to gather information and resolve outstanding items.


• Ensure all records are properly maintained within QuickBooks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.


• Prior accounting, bookkeeping, or reconciliation experience required.


• Strong proficiency with QuickBooks.


• Experience managing reconciliations across multiple entities is highly preferred.


• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.


• Ability to work independently and efficiently within established deadlines.

Additional Information

• This is an on-site position located in Franklin, Tennessee.


• The companies involved have relatively low transaction volume, but accuracy and thoroughness are critical.


• Immediate need with an anticipated project duration of approximately one month.
