Job Summary

PowerSource Telecom, Inc., a small but growing 30 employee firm, and a leader in providing comprehensive communication solutions, is seeking a knowledgeable Accountant to join our team in Albany, OR. In this pivotal role, you will engage in a wide range of accounting activities, document the company’s financial transactions, prepare financial statements, and manage payroll. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a strong understanding of best practices in accounting.

Responsibilities

Enter financial data and transactions

Analyze budgets and other financial information

Reconcile bank statements

Prepare financial reports and statements

Verify the accuracy of transactions that have been entered

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable

Create accounting policies to comply with all rules and regulations

Process payroll

Oversee job costing and provide essential financial insights to project management

Manage light tax duties and ensure compliance with applicable laws

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, ideally within the construction or telecommunications industry

Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

Good with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems

Strong analytical skills and adept at preparing detailed financial analyses and reports

Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills

Must have good business acumen
