Accountant - Finance

Maxor is experiencing tremendous growth and because of this growth, we have a new Staff Accountant opening.  The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing reconciliations of A/R and A/P; performing account analysis. The Accountant also assists the Director of Shared Services with special projects on an as needed basis. The Accountant has the responsibility for providing effective financial controls for accounts receivable and payable.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:   Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university is required.

1. Knowledge and understanding of GAAP and FASB Accounting Procedures.


2. Account balancing and reconciling skills


3. Knowledge of computerized information systems used in accounting


4. Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills


5. Work effectively with minimal oversight, while also functioning well in a team environment


6. Must be able to coordinate and perform multiple projects simultaneously


7. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other Microsoft Office products


8. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (These duties must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation. This document in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position): 

1. Reconcile 40+ pharmacy third party accounts receivable on a monthly basis.


2. Reconcile 20+ accounts payable sub-ledgers to GL.


3. Reconcile 40+ Expired Returns Receivable accounts quarterly.


4. Develop reports for reconciliation and audit purposes.


5. Accurately prepare monthly journal entries for the Director of Shared Services review.


6. Perform monthly reconciliations, assist in the month end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes,


7. Ensure transactions are in accordance with GAAP and internal policies and procedures are followed and communicate exceptions to management.


8. Assist in preparing reports that outline accounts receivable information monthly


9. Keep abreast of company policies and procedures, current developments in accounting and auditing professions, and changes in local, state, and federal laws, as applicable.
