Accountant (Forex)

FP Markets Group of Companies is a globally regulated Australian broker offering traders access to CFDs across Forex, Indices, Commodities, Stocks, and Cryptocurrencies. We are growing and looking to recruit a Full-Time Accountant in our Cyprus office - a certified Great Place to Work®.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the daily financial operations of the company’s clients in the Forex industry.
• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including recording financial transactions and reconciling accounts.
• Monitor accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments.
• Process invoices, manage payments, and track all financial transactions.
• Prepare accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies, and manage the preparation and timely submission of regulatory reports.
• Assist in preparing for audits and collaborate with external auditors.
• Provide financial support and advice to management as required.
• Prepare tax returns and management accounts.
• Prepare budgets and estimate monthly expenses for the company’s clients.
• Perform monthly reconciliation of PSP (Payment Service Provider) statements with accounting records.
• Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial services, preferably with experience in Forex.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience with accounting software and proficiency in MS Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy in record-keeping, and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
