Accountant I

Envision Radiology is adding an Accountant I to the team!
Monday - Friday / 40 hours a week | Position Pay Range: $58,320 - $72,900

Summary/Objective

The Accountant I is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements including balance sheets, profit and loss, and subsidiary statements for assigned entities.

Essential Functions

1. Provides accurate and timely completion of monthly financial statements and meaningful notes to financial users for all markets/centers.


2. Reviews and analyzes general ledger account balances, verifies accuracy, and makes recommendations for corrections.


3. Distributes non-financial statement reports to our Center/Area Managers, Executive Team, and other Leadership for use in managing the business.


4. Evaluates transactions, agreements, and contracts to ensure they are accurately captured in the financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.


5. Computes and prepares data for journal entries and reviews general ledger and related financial statements


6. Prepares reconciliations for all accounts in support of month ending balances and verifies the accuracy of intercompany balances.


7. Prepares monthly/quarterly distribution calculations in accordance with Board approved distribution formulas.


8. Maintains an analytical approach when compiling financial statements and other reports to identify outliers and areas indicating need for improvement or further analysis.


9. Provides additional support to the Accounting Department assisting with special projects and analysis as requested.


10. Other duties as assigned.

This position has no supervision responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

• Two plus years’ experience in Accounting/Finance - preferred


• Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word & 10-key


• Strong analytical skills


• Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player


• Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately


• Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment


• Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation


• Strong communication skills & professional demeanor

Education/Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent education, training and experience in Accounting/Finance.
