Accountant (Payroll Focus)

Eventide is hiring an Accountant with a payroll focus. This position will also provide accounting support to major financial accounting areas, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation.

• Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn our HRIS system that manages the payroll and benefit functions.

Essential Job Duties:

Payroll

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee payroll.


• Reconciles payroll prior to payment and confirm report accuracy.


• Thoroughly examines and confirms timesheets, attendance records, and other pertinent documents to ensure precision and adherence to Eventide policies and legal obligations.


• Assists employees with any inquiries and promptly resolves any issues related to payroll in a professional and timely manner.


• Processes any necessary garnishment calculations to ensure compliance.


• Maintains confidentiality of employee information and payroll records at all times.

General Ledger

• Prepare and enter monthly payroll journal entries.


• Assist in the preparation of monthly workpapers, annual audit backup information and various cost report data.


• Review and process a variety of fiscal transactions.


• Ensure accurate and timely payment of payroll taxes including filing necessary tax forms.

 Accounts Receivable

• Process the daily incoming cash payments for accounts receivable and scan to the bank.


• Work with the leaders at the campuses on security deposits/refunds.
