Job Description - Accounting Admin

The right candidate will have strong communication skills, ability to work with a team and must be able to operate a 10-key calculator. The day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting the Accounting Department with completing timely and accurate daily billing and title work, tasks and reconciliation of schedules and other duties as assigned.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To include but are not limited to the following:
Must have accounting background for at least two years.
Automotive knowledge of accounting a plus.
Working knowledge of CDK or similar Dealership Management System a plus.
Microsoft Excel and Office background is required.
Accurate input of information, invoices, receipts, correspondences, spreadsheets, google docs, and other documents.
Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices, billing and checks, to substantiate vehicle purchases.
Performs variety of clerical duties including scanning, researching, and data entry.
Review incoming documents for accuracy, determine discrepancies and request additional information as needed.
After reviewing accuracy of car deals, billing the car deal and posting into accounting.
Processing title work in web dealer on wholesales, purchases and new and used inventory to the TXDOMV.
Abide by all policies and procedures of the organization.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure and use a 10 key calculator.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to deal with problems in a calm manner and use prudent problem solving skills. Ability to pay close attention to detail. Accuracy is of the utmost importance.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to deal effectively with the public and to present a professional and courteous attitude. Ability to use basic office machinery such as a computer, calculator, and scanner.
Must have positive, patient, cooperative, and pleasant attitude towards all. Customer Service skills that portray an attitude of gratitude must be displayed at all times.
