About Us:
Quantum Towing and Recovery is a trusted provider of towing and roadside assistance services in the greater central TX area. As our company grows, we are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our financial operations. This role is essential in ensuring accurate bookkeeping, financial reporting, and overall organization of our accounting records.
Responsibilities:
- Process payments, including sending payments to customers and suppliers and handling bank deposits.
- Maintain accurate records of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
- Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review.
- Prepare and submit tax documentation to the correct legal authorities.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in accounts payable and receivable.
- Update and maintain accounting databases and spreadsheets.
- Ensure proper data entry procedures, as this role includes managing payroll for all employees and contractors at the company.
- Work closely with accounts receivable and accounts payable to ensure financial accuracy.
- Assist with insurance billing for major roadside recoveries.
- Perform light administrative and HR duties, including assisting with employee documentation and compliance.
- Work closely with the finance team and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
- Strong ethical standards and professionalism in handling financial data.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external vendors.
- Prior experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in administrative and HR duties is highly preferred.
