Description of Role:
We are seeking an accounting assistant to perform daily accounting tasks that will support our financial team.
Responsibilities:
- Balance (reconcile) cash, credit cards, tips and sales daily.
- Prepare and balance a reconcilement form in Excel and enter data into Sage 100.
- Make sure that all documentation is attached to the reconcilement form for audit purposes.
- Make sure that data recorded on the spreadsheet balances to the data on the daily sales report.
- Balance general ledger accounts - enter data into excel and document each entry. Make sure that the spreadsheet balances to the GL.
- Complete daily spreadsheets for deposits for future events, gift cards used, tax exempt sales, sales by day part, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Requirements:
- 3 years of accounting experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
- Familiarity with finance regulations
- Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. Sage 100)
- Organization skills
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
