Job Description - Accounting Assistant II

Bravera Holdings Corp. is hiring for an Accounting Assistant II position in Dickinson, ND. This position is responsible for a variety of accounting, financial, and clerical duties. Performs posting or balancing, filing, calculating, and other accounting operations as assigned. MEASURES OF SUCCESS



  1. Able to complete daily duties comfortably and with high efficiency.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  1. Accounts Payable approver

  2. General Ledger Semi-Annual Request for Department Reconcilements

  3. Demand Deposit Marketplace – balancing, setup, month-end interest accrual, ongoing maintenance

  4. Investment Portfolio

    1. Safekeeping principal and interest payments

    2. Purchase/sale transactions

    3. Monthly bond accounting entries and reconcilement

    4. Board reports

    5. Quarterly Call Report preparation



  5. Pledging Investments for Public Funds

    1. Daily review

    2. Add new pledges

    3. Pledge agreement with public funds entities

    4. Board report



  6. Investment Committee

    1. Prepare Agenda, Minutes and compile meeting packet



  7. Distribute Federal Reserve Bank pledged loan and available line report

  8. Authorized internal account signer list

  9. Perform daily bank funding settlement

  10. Perform posting, balancing, filing, calculating, and other accounting operations.

  11. Earn and maintain the respect and trust of people. Display honesty, integrity, and morality.

  12. Promote a positive and collaborative environment that supports teamwork and excellent customer service throughout the organization.

  13. Contribute to the overall success of the organization by leveraging opportunities as they relate to all entities of Bravera Holdings Corp.

  14. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

  15. Follow current bank policies and procedures related to the accounting and finance area.

  16. Promote the organization in the community through participation in civic and community events, activities, committees, and organizations.

  17. Adhere to all banking rules and regulations, including but not limited to the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act. Be proactive in preventing illegal activities, vigilantly look for activities that may constitute fraud (including money laundering), and report any suspicious activity to the BSA Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES)



  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred

  • Minimum two years’ experience in banking and finance, OR an acceptable combination of education and work experience

  • Strong computer skills
