Accounting Assistant - Join a Market Leader

Mid-size national law firm located in downtown Los Angeles seeking to fill an Accounting Assistant position to join the Finance team in a very fast-paced environment. Main responsibility is handling Accounts Payable functions. This includes processing vendor invoices and expense reimbursements. In satisfying this responsibility, this person must be able to keep up with high demand of requests mainly from internal personnel and outside vendors. Good communication skills are required in relaying information related to the position’s daily duties to both internal and external parties of the firm.

The other primary responsibility would be processing conflict checks. Conflict checks require to identify and assess possible conflicts of interest before acquiring a new client or matter.

Law firm experience strongly preferred but not required, although high competency level is necessary to complete tasks at hand.

Overtime is an essential function of the position.

Ideal candidate would have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in the accounting/finance field and there is potential for growth.

Basic knowledge of general ledger accounting necessary.
