What You'll Do as an Accounting Associate:

• Handle daily bookkeeping in QuickBooks, including entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Manage general ledger activity, journal entries, and AP/AR functions.
• Assist with monthly close, including accruals, payroll reconciliations, and subledger reviews.
• Prepare monthly financial reports
• Process bi-weekly payroll for multiple business entities.
• Track PTO, vacation, and benefits deductions; maintain up-to-date employee records.
• Help organize and manage subcontractor agreements.
• Collaborate regularly with Sales, Operations, and other departments.
• Document & follow established accounting processes and procedures.
• Support billing, clerical tasks, and day-to-day accounting operations.
• Work full-time, on-site, Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional overtime.

Our Ideal Accounting Associate:

• Experienced: 3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, plus 3-5 years of payroll processing. An associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration (with an accounting focus) is preferred.
• Tech-savvy: Proficient in MS Office and Excel. Experience with QuickBooks Desktop is preferred; QuickBooks Online is a plus.
• Organized & Detail-oriented: Maintains accuracy while managing tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Adaptable: Works well both independently and as part of a team.
• Clear Communicator: Comfortable with both written and verbal communication.
• Discreet: Handles sensitive financial matters with confidentiality.
• Problem-solver: Thinks critically and seeks ways to improve efficiency and internal processes.
• Physically Capable: Able to climb stairs to access a third-floor office.
