Accounting Clerk

Description

Ensure that accounting data is collected and processed in a confidential and timely manner.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• A working knowledge of bookkeeping procedures
• Must have a working knowledge of computer operations.
• Must Possess excellent data entry skills.
• Must be detail oriented but also be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have excellent oral communication skills and the ability to answer incoming accounting phone calls.
• Must be able to work well with others.

Essential Functions

• Answering and directing phone calls
• Taking and distributing messages
• Distributing documents, correspondence, and package deliveries.
• Receiving, sorting and distributing incoming mail
• Maintaining accounting filing systems
• Photocopying, scanning and faxing.
• Sending emails
• Preparing and sending outgoing mailings and packages
• Typing documents and correspondence
• Accounts Payables (Entering vendor bills and paying vendors) (applying bills to correct jobs)

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in use of email and internet
• Knowledge of software applications including MS Office.
