SafeHaven is a small but rapidly growing security services company that provides security consulting, workplace violence prevention, threat assessment and management, executive and family protection, as well as uniformed security professionals.   

Job brief 

We are looking for a part-time Accounting Clerk to assist the Accountant Manager and to manage payroll responsibilities. The Accounting Clerk’s duties include payroll procedures, invoicing to customers and other accounting and administrative tasks as requested by supervision. 

Responsibilities 

• Verifying and reconciling payroll hours for employees and communicating when discrepancies arise 
• Create invoices for customers based on payroll hours 
• Handle payroll questions and concerns from employees and supervisors 
• Verifying and reconciling expenses for the company 
• Miscellaneous tasks given by supervisors

Requirements

Requirements and skills 

• Excellent computer skills in accounting software and databases with an emphasis on Excel and ability to learn. 
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data 
• Understanding of payroll responsibilities and tasks 
• High attention to detail and accuracy 
• Understanding of accounting principles  

Physical Requirements: 

• Sit, stand, walk and stop intermittently. 
• Using your hands to handle controls and office equipment 
• Talk and listen during interactions 
• Reach with hands and arms as needed
