Accounting Clerk

Nitterhouse Masonry Products is a family-owned company located in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and has been operating for over 100 years! Nitterhouse is searching for an Accounting Clerk to join our team. We are looking for an organized and detail-minded individual. Position Overview: The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the accounting department and ensure the accuracy of financial records. Responsibilities include—

• Accurately recording financial transactions
• Processing A/R and A/P transactions
• Maintaining accounting databases and ensuring that records are complete and current
• Assisting with preparation of financial reports and summaries
• Preparing checks and deposits
• Updating ledgers, researching, and resolving discrepancies
• Responding appropriately to vendors, clients, and internal requests
• Performing basic office tasks, such as answering phones, responding to emails, processing mail, filing, etc.

Education: High school diploma required, associate’s degree in accounting or related field desired

Experience: Prior Accounting experience a plus, particularly in a manufacturing environment
