Rydell Automotive Group is looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Clerk to join our team in Waterloo, Iowa.

What You'll Do

As an Accounting Clerk, you will assist with a variety of accounting and financial responsibilities, including:

• Prepare and post journal entries


• Process daily deposits and customer payments


• Run monthly customer statements


• Process credit card applications


• Post credit card deposits


• Cross-train with Accounts Payable


• Research and resolve A/R discrepancies


• Assist the CFO and Office Manager with accounting and administrative responsibilities


• Perform additional accounting duties as needed

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum of 2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experience


• Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliation


• Strong attention to detail and accuracy


• Excellent organizational and time-management skills


• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office


• QuickBooks experience is a plus


• Automotive dealership accounting experience is a plus, but not required


• Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with financial and company information


• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude


• Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook
