Accounting Clerk

Perform accounting and clerical tasks related to efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. Integrity, confidentiality and strong attention to detail are crucial.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

• Review invoices, check requests and purchase orders.
• Sort and match invoices, check requests and purchase orders.
• Work as the General Cashier for Timberline Lodge two days per week.
• Input invoices and check requests for payment.
• Work with department heads to get all a/p paperwork by month end 
• Prepare, Reconcile and Process Corporate credit card invoices, receipts and transfers.
• Prepare and process accounts payable checks, wire transfers and ACH payments.
• Reconciliation of payments with vendor statements.
• Prepare and verify analysis of accounts payable ledger.
• Resolve invoice or statement discrepancies.
• Maintain all vendor files and archive function of files. 
• Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.
• Other duties as assigned by Timberline management.
• Exercising sound judgment and awareness regarding behavior, dress, grooming and language.
• Be familiar with Timberline Lodge and Ski Area information and communication network.  
• Actively participate in RLK and Company’s Health & Safety Program by identifying and reporting potential hazards, reporting incidents, and promoting a healthy workplace
• Exercise stewardship of all RLK and Company facilities and environments, ensuring that efforts are made to reduce, reuse, and recycle when the opportunity is present. 
• Present a professional, quality image at all times.  
• Regular and reliable attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have basic accounting knowledge.
• Must have excellent cash handling skills
•  A/P paperless management experience preferred.
• Sage AP experience preferred.
• Must be proficient at Microsoft Office.
• Must have excellent ten key and data-entry skills.
• Must have excellent attention to detail, integrity, confidentiality, & organizational skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
• Must be flexible and capable of bending, twisting and kneeling.
• Must be able to work in tight spaces.
• Must be able to work in a seat for up to 8 hours at a time.
• Must be able to work at a computer for up to 8 hours at a time.
• Must be able to keep up with the pace of the department demands of the position.
