We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Brentwood, Tennessee. This role will be pivotal in our Accounting team, handling key financial tasks such as processing customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries. With a focus on accounts payable and receivable, project management, and administrative office tasks, your role will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of financial activities in our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Process customer credit applications with precision and efficiency

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer credit records

• Handle customer credit inquiries and resolve them promptly

• Monitor customer credit accounts to identify any irregularities or delinquent payments

• Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments when necessary

• Manage outgoing bills and invoices related to customer credit

• Prepare and send invoices to customers on a timely basis

• Post payments to customer accounts and ensure records are updated

• Reconcile reports related to customer credits and accounts

• Handle general office tasks related to customer credit management, providing polite and professional assistance via phone, mail, and email.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
• Demonstrated ability in administrative office tasks
• Experienced in handling inbound telephone calls
• Proficient in account reconciliation activities
• Skilled in project management
• Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
