Accounting Assistant
Responsibilities:
* Manage accounts receivable; verify payments and deposits made through the bank account and coordinate with the bank.
* Manage weekly/monthly payroll activities and prepare monthly payroll report.
* Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
* Identify discrepancies in ledgers and accounts, tracking them to the source and correcting them.
* Perform basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, processing the mail, etc.
* Assist the controller with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies.
Requirements:
* 2+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience.
* Familiarity with basic accounting principles.
* Proficiency with computers and accounting software.
* Exceptional time management and verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
* Good problem-solving and time management skills.
* Basic MS Excel skills a must.
