Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our finance team. The Accounting Intern will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks and supporting the financial operations of the company. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a current college student looking to gain valuable experience and grow within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer invoicing.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by entering data into the accounting system and reconciling transactions.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including preparing journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
• Support the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, including gathering data and preparing reports for management review.
• Perform various ad hoc financial analysis and reporting tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with other members of the finance team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance (internship experience may be considered).
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
