Accounting Manager

An established software company in San Francisco is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team on a temporary basis. This role will support technical accounting functions and reporting, with direct reporting to the Controller and a dotted-line relationship to the CFO. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong public accounting foundation and technical accounting expertise.

Compensation: up to $140,000.

• Manage the month-end and quarter-end close process
• Lead technical accounting efforts, including ASC 606 and ASC 842
• Draft and maintain technical accounting memos
• Prepare for and assist with external audits
• Review software revenue and commissions in accordance with ASC 606
• Oversee lease accounting and financial reporting under ASC 842

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Public accounting background (Big 4 or national firm) required
• 6–8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience with software/SaaS industry accounting preferred
• Proficiency in QuickBooks
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting standards
