The Accounting Manager oversees the organization's general ledger accounting function and is responsible for the following, including but not limited to:
Manage the monthly financial close process, including the preparation and initial review of internal financial statements, validation of accruals, account reconciliations, and gross profit analysis
Research, analyze, and document non-routine accounting transactions to ensure compliance
Drive the accuracy and efficiency of the financial close and revenue recognition processes by identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance controls, streamline workflows, and improve reporting quality
Analyze financial and operational results, identify key business drivers, and communicate insights and recommendations to senior leadership and operational teams
Coordinate with external auditors to support audit activities and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting
Support the treasury function of the organization through cash reconciliation, cash flow management, and daily banking processes
Partner with the FP&A team to support the annual budgeting and forecasting process
Lead and support finance initiatives, including system enhancements and process improvements that expand scalability and operational efficiency as the organization grows
Supervise, mentor, and develop team members by fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment focused on continuous learning and professional growth
Provide ongoing support to the Controller on strategic finance and accounting initiatives, special projects, and other responsibilities as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Strong knowledge of financial accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and internal controls, with a thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting applications, with the ability to leverage technology to improve accounting processes and reporting
Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate, meaningful financial reports, forecasts, and business analyses
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; experience with Microsoft Access or other data analysis tools is preferred
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across all levels of the organization
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing team members
Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and leveraging technology to enhance accounting processes and operational efficiency
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA and relevant experience in public accounting preferred
Progressive leadership experience in accounting, financial reporting, and general ledger management
