About the Role
Our client is a mission-driven organization looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to bring structure, discipline, and forward-thinking financial leadership to their growing company. This role is central to their financial health — you'll partner closely with leadership to turn big ideas into achievable, well-planned realities.
We're looking for someone who can be a trusted financial partner to ownership: someone who is proactive, honest, and unafraid to say "we can't afford that right now" — while also helping map out a realistic path to "yes." You won't just be tracking numbers; you'll be helping shape the financial future of a company that's still growing and dreaming big.
Day-to-Day Duties
Help develop, monitor, and manage the annual cash flow chart
Oversee all functions of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP)
Maintain a strong working relationship with our client's accounting firm and expedite all aspects of our client's financial accounting systems
Develop the company trust agreement
Perform periodic bookkeeping functions (monthly, quarterly, and year-end)
Help develop and manage annual site-specific and company-wide budgets
Work with our client's management team to provide input on long-range plans, financial projections, and capital procurements
Produce reports and financial information, particularly cost analysis
Develop and guide staff on job tracking and financial reports (WIP, budgets, job profitability, etc.)
Direct and plan preparation of reports that summarize and forecast business activity and financial position (income, expenses, earnings)
Develop or update internal financial policies and procedures to ensure solvency
Requirements
7+ years of experience in a similar accounting/finance role, leadership experience preferred, not required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management, preferred.
Experience in or strong understanding of mission driven organizations
Experience with Zoho preferred; UKG experience a plus, along with a willingness to learn new software
Strong skills in cash flow management, budgeting, cost analysis, AP/AR, financial reporting and forecasting, and WIP/job-profitability tracking
