Accounting Manager- Accounting/Reporting/Grants

Marcum Search has a Non-Profit Client in Bethesda, MD seeking an

Accounting & Grants Manage r to oversee public funds received and work closely with financial leadership to ensure financial systems, policies and procedures are compliant with state and federal regulations. They will also oversee day-to-day accounting functions and team members, including GL, AP and AR. This is a hybrid position.
Required

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience, with at least 3 years of experience working in grants management or public contracting.

Two-years of supervisory experience.

Hands on experience with accounting software packages; Navision/ Business Central are a plus.

Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Strong experience in non-profit accounting and project accounting.

Ability to identify, research, and analyze possible errors in budget and/or financial records recommending resolutions or process improvements.

Ability to organize, prepare and consolidate spreadsheets necessary to generate budget, financial, and ad hoc reporting.

Public accounting experience preferred, CPA a plus.
