We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager, based in MIDDLETOWN, Pennsylvania. The primary function of this role is to ensure the company’s financial procedures, records, and statements comply with laws and regulations, and to foster the development of the Accounting team.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure the timely coordination of financial statements each month, managing proper cut-offs and accruals for consistent results.
• Review the work product of Accounting team members, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepare information for quarterly SEC reporting package.
• Generate reports and schedules as requested.
• Develop annual budgets for fixed asset and inventory accounts.
• Assist Financial Planning and Analysis Department as needed.
• Ensure compliance with external reporting standards (GAAP) and internal policies and procedures.
• Conduct personnel development and goal development to improve overall department effectiveness, including coaching and mentoring.
• Take ownership and conduct audits of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for all processes and procedures within the department.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA preferred
• Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office and accounting software.
