Join our client's team as an Accounting Manager and take the first step towards a long-term career path into a Controller position. New Castle County, DE – Onsite (Hybrid in the future)
Salary Range:
$100,000.00 - $115,000.00 + bonus
Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager (Logistics) Include:
Oversee general ledger (GL) activities and day-to-day accounting operations. Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, including billing, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and cash management.
As the accounting group expands, take on direct reports and provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior team members. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment to promote professional growth and development.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and budget forecasts. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. Implement best practices and internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Collaborate with other departments, including finance, operations, and human resources, to support company-wide initiatives and projects. Serve as a key liaison between accounting and other business functions.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards. Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and industry trends, and update internal policies and procedures accordingly.
Qualifications of the Accounting Manager Include:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
5+ years of experience in corporate accounting or a combination of public accounting (2-3 years at most) and industry experience.
CPA certification preferred but not required.
Comfortable working in a middle-market company or larger organization, with exposure to services, manufacturing, or construction industries.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
