Accounting Manager- Real Estate

🚨 Property Accounting Manager | Property Investment | San Diego, CA (Onsite) 🚨

Our client — one of San Diego’s most successful residential and commercial property investment groups — is looking for a Property Accounting Manager to join their high-performing team. This is a full-time, direct hire position, and onsite presence is required.

With over 1,200 completed projects and hundreds of millions in sales, this organization is known for its detail-driven approach and consistent results in property development and investment.

💼 What You’ll Do:

As a Property Accounting Manager, you’ll play a critical role in managing the financial health of a diverse property portfolio. You’ll work closely with property managers, leadership, and the finance team on tasks such as:

🔹 Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare and review financial statements in line with GAAP


• Oversee journal entries, balance sheets, and cash flow statements

🔹 Property Management Accounting

• Manage rent rolls, lease administration, property taxes, and reconciliations


• Track property income, expenses, and security deposits

🔹 Budgeting & Forecasting

• Lead budgeting efforts and financial forecasting


• Provide insights and identify cost-saving opportunities

🔹 Internal Controls & Audit Support

• Develop and implement internal controls


• Assist with audits and regulatory compliance


• Collaborate across departments for timely and accurate reporting

🔹 Cash Management

• Monitor cash flow, oversee payments and collections

🎯 What They Are Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field


• 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience (property management or construction preferred)


• Proficient in Excel, QuickBooks and AppFolio (or Yardi)


• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial analysis


• Excellent communication and leadership skills

💰 Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 base + bonus potential
