The California Department of Corrections Rehabilitation (CDCR)Headquarters has implemented a new automated system to streamlinethe hiring process. The Human Resources Technology System (HRTS)is an intuitive, user-friendly system that provides the applicant access toreal-time updates throughout the hiring process. HRTS will require newcandidates to set up an account, which allows them to track theirapplication’s progress. Through their account portal, candidates will alsobe able to provide any additional information needed in the hiringprocess, including setting up interviews as needed. Special Requirements

The position(s) require(s) completion of educational courses as specified in the Class Specification (link available in the Minimum Requirements section).
The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.

2. Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. If it is determined an applicant does not meet the Minimum Qualifications, the candidate will be withheld from the eligibility list, rendering them inactive and ineligible to be hired for the position. Candidates who have been withheld may file an appeal with the State Personnel Board.
3. Candidates new to CDCR are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
4. School Transcripts – Candidates who attended a college or university that is accredited by a foreign or non-US accrediting agency must have their educational units evaluated by an educational evaluation service. The evaluation must include the name of the educational evaluation services, the date, and the name of the evaluator. Contact your local college or university to learn where you can obtain this service.
