Job Description - Accounting Technician

Position Title: Accounting Technician (Anchorage, AK)

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Pay: $22-$28 Hr-DOE

Full-Time: Mon-Fri

Summary: Accounting Technician

The Accounting Technician position is responsible for clerical and accounting operations and procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency. This position will assist in all aspects of accounting and support for the finance department and processing financial records.

Essential Functions: Accounting Technician

• Provide accounting support.

• Review and monitor all daily ledger activity for accuracy.

• Monitor payables email and disperse invoices for all properties.

• Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements.

• Ensure all daily bank deposits have been made.

• Maintain current W-9’s and certificates of insurance.

• Maintain inventory and order when necessary: checks, deposit slips, deposit stamps, etc.

• Perform filing and general administrative tasks.

Requirements

• Associate degree or relevant certification preferred

• Valid Alaska Driver’s License; possession of a functional, insured vehicle.
