Bayport Labs is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounting/Purchasing Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, tracking expenses, and overseeing portions of purchasing process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and purchasing logistics principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
Process invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Assist in the implementation of our MRP system.
Purchasing:
Collaborate with various departments to understand their procurement needs.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in initiating purchase orders as needed.
Process purchases to our supply vendors.
Ensure timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
Financial Recordkeeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
Work closely with other departments to gather necessary information and support cross-functional initiatives.
Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
Miscellaneous:
Update and maintain customer order book.
Creating packing lists for customer orders.
Qualifications:
Experience in accounting and purchasing roles.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual in Spanish preferred
Some experience with ERP and MRP systems.
