Accounts Payable Accountant - Urgent

Job Title: AP Accountant

Location: Woodland Hills, CA Fully Onsite

Responsibilities:

1. Manage G&A expenses and ensure timely processing of payments.

2. Oversee accounting for multiple construction projects, including invoice processing, documentation management, entry into Sage 300 accounting system, budget comparison, and payment processing.

3. Review and update subcontractor agreements and change orders in the accounting system.

4. Maintain updated vendor information, including insurance, preliminary notices, labor compliance, licenses, and tax filing details for projects.

5. Verify, review, reconcile, and update subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors' invoices on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

6. Prepare and process disbursement checks for subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors, collecting unconditional and conditional progress waivers.

7. Evaluate, analyze, and report project budgets for weekly monitoring.

8. Reconcile and accrue subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors' project costs on a monthly basis.

9. Maintain a well-organized filing system for project documentation.

10. Handle the closure paperwork for projects and collect all final unconditional releases from 1st through 3rd-tier subcontractors.

11. Maintain open communication with general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, project managers, and government agencies.

12. Perform additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or construction accounting.

• Proficiency in Sage 300 (formerly known as Timberline) or similar accounting software is a plus

• Strong understanding of construction accounting principles and practices.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.

• Familiarity with government regulations related to construction projects is a plus.

Salary is $60-65k DOE
