Accounts Payable Associate Position Purpose

The Accounts Payable Associate will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling vendor accounts, and ensuring timely payments to vendors

Accounts Payable Associate Essential Functions 

• Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One Goal


• Processes invoices accurately and efficiently in accordance with company policies and procedures


• Reviews invoices for accuracy, proper coding, authorization, and documentation


• Reconciles vendor statements and resolves any discrepancies in a timely manner


• Maintains vendor accounts, including updating contact information and payment terms as necessary


• Prepares and processes weekly check runs or electronic payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness


• Responds to vendor inquiries and resolves payment discrepancies or disputes promptly and professionally


• Collaborates with internal departments to ensure proper coding and approval of invoices


• Assists with the implementation of process improvements to streamline the accounts payable process


• Maintains accurate and organized documentation of all accounts payable transactions


• Ensures consistent and reliable on-site attendance


• Performs other duties as assigned 

Accounts Payable Associate Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent


• One (1) year experience in Accounts Payable or relevant experience


• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and organizational skills


• Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various web-based applications


• Experience in processing and vendor/customer relationships


• Demonstrated understanding of common accounting practices and the accounting cycle


• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment 

Accounts Payable Associate Physical Requirements

• Seeing, Hearing/Listening, Clear Speech, Touching (Dexterity, Hand, Finger)


• Sitting Long Periods
