Job Description - Accounts Payable Manager

Are you an experienced Accounting professional with heavy AP leadership experience who is ready for your next role? Do you desire to join a fun, well-known company? Are you strong at rapport building and aspire to lead a collaborative AP team? If you answered yes, then this may be the role for you! LHH is seeking a AP Manager to join a well-known local company in the manufacturing industry. The AP Manager will primarily be responsible for overseeing the performance and management of the AP team and conducting full cycle AP processing for the company.

Responsibilities:
Supervise A/P team, covering hiring, training, motivation, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions in collaboration with HR and management.
Ensure prompt and accurate processing of all company A/P transactions.
Conduct AP-related month-end and quarterly closing tasks, including journal entries and reconciliations.
Resolve ERP and invoice automation system issues and handle payment processing and liaise with bank representatives.
Maintain accounts payable procedures in compliance with GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, and company policies.
Coordinate annual IRS 1099 filing accurately and promptly.
Administer vendor setup process in the system.

REQUIRED Qualifications/Experience:
Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or relevant experience
7+ years of accounts payable experience
3+ years of direct management experience (ideally in AP)

HIGHLY DESIRED Experience:
JD Edwards software experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent knowledge of US GAAP accounting
Self-starter with exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of accounting ERP software systems and highly proficient in Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organization skills with demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines

Compensation & Other Perks:
Temp-to-hire position offering equivalent base salary of $90k-$120k DOE (roughly $43.26-$57.69 hourly rate)
Medical, vision, and dental offered after first month of employment
