Job Description - Accounts Payable Manager
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Accounts Payable Manager
to provide temporary oversight for one of our client's growing AP departments.
In this critical role, you will oversee the processing of a high volume of invoices while ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations during this interim period while they update their payables software. This
Accounts Payable Manager
position will work two days a week onsite in the Chicago Loop and will pay between $35-$40/hour.
Accounts Payable Manager Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the daily accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, vendor relations and payment approvals
Oversee the processing of a high volume of invoices
Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors in accordance with established procedures
Reconcile accounts payable and identify and resolve any discrepancies
Maintain strong relationships with vendors and address inquiries promptly
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency
Prepare reports and maintain accurate financial records
Accounts Payable Manager Requirements:
3+ years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in a high-volume environment
Proven ability to manage and motivate a team of employees
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience with Elite or 3E software a plus, but not required
Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
