The Position:

The Accounts Payable (AP) Manager oversees all aspects of the Accounts Payable department, including inventory management, purchase cards, travel and expense processing. Responsibilities Include:

• Ensuring timely payment of vendor invoices and expense reports, maintaining accurate records, and implementing process improvements
• Manages AP operations, including customer and vendor relations, disbursement activities, and tax-related matters across multiple ERP systems
• Manages accounting functions such as general ledger maintenance, accounts receivable, and project accounting, ensuring accuracy and timelines
• Develop and enforce policies and procedures, oversee monthly financial closing, provide accounting assistance to project managers, and serve as a liaison with external parties
• Hiring and training staff, evaluating performance, and managing budgets
• Plays a crucial role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency within the organization

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Seven or more years of accounting experience
• Minimum three years Accounts Payable experience
• One or more years of leadership experience included
• Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software
• Must have large ERP AP system experience, as well as 1099 filing experience
• Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting accountants, clients, and upper management
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Good presentation skills for educating internal clients on accounting principles
• Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
