ACCOUNTS PAYABLE (Mathis Mattress Mfg./FT) Safety Sensitive - Driving

Pay: $17-$20/hr

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Primary responsibility is to accurately and efficiently prepare, examine, and analyze accounting related information while abiding by all safety guidelines.  Effectively communicate customer service issues and request to management.  Maintain a friendly and professional environment when dealing with customers and peers.  Perform any other duties as directed by management.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:

• Match vendor invoices to receiving documents


• Problem solve any invoice discrepancies


• Post invoices into the computer system


• Generate accounts payable and refund checks


• Research statements, phone calls, and discrepancies


• File invoices and statements


• Assist with safe audits as directed by manager, distribute inter-department/company mail and incoming mail on a rotating schedule


• Use computer to process information


• Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution


• Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work


• Communicate with supervisors and peers


• Perform clerical duties

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Ability to repetitively use arms, hands and fingers; ability to communicate effectively with team members; must be at least 21 years of age with a valid Driver’s license with no more than 2 traffic violations or 1 chargeable accident within the past three years; positive attitude when working with customers. Knowledge of employment, safety, and merchandise handling procedures.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion. 

Heavy Work: Lifting up to 10 lbs occasionally.

Work Environment: Indoor climate controlled environment.
