Job Description - Accounts Payable Senior Manager - Rapid Progression

LHH has partnered with an outstanding research-based nonprofit in DC to identify a Senior Accounts Payable Manager! This is a high visibility position within accounting which will oversee the operations and functionality of the full cycle accounts payable process.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and perform all accounts payable activities and delegate tasks to staff as needed to ensure accurate invoice processing and timely payments of invoices and expense reports.

  • Establish and enter new vendors and manage 1099s.

  • Manage vendor accounts and research/resolve discrepancies.

  • Assist with financial/accounts payable/purchasing system implementations.

  • Identify internal control weaknesses and offer potential resolutions.

  • Document SOPs and train staff on new and existing processes.

  • Review and approve ACHs, checks, and domestic and international wire payments and review currency conversion rates.

  • Ensure compliance of all accounts payable activities and items.

  • Serve as Procure-to-Pay (P2P) expert as it relates to purchasing, accounts payable, expenses, and systems.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of management experience and full cycle accounts payable experience.

  • Knowledge of procure-to-pay processes.

  • Knowledge of 1099 preparation.



Pay Details: $45.00 to $55.00 per hour
